Welcome, Shorians!

Lake Shore High School's mission is to ensure the lifelong academic, social, and career development of all students in becoming responsible and valued citizens.  We do this through innovative teaching techniques in all classes, collaboration, integrated technology, and rigorous academics, including college-level, Advanced Placement, and Career Technical Education courses.  We encourage all students to become involved in the school culture through athletics, our multiple student-led organizations, and school spirit activities.

Lake Shore High School is a great place to create positive memories, learn, grow, and prepare for your future…wherever that may lead you.

This is #ShorianPride.

Lake Shore Exchange Trip with Germany

Twenty Lake Shore students made it safely to Germany and will be staying with host families until April 18!  Students have taken a trip to Berlin to see the old Berlin and the new Berlin, saw a concentration camp, and experienced the Volkswagen plant, have given presentations to schools about our culture and food, and attended some classes in Sibylla-Merian-Gymnasium.

District March Madness Tournament

Congratulations to Lake Shore High School for winning the Championship against Kennedy Middle School at our March Madness Tournament with a final score of 31-13. Masonic Heights/Violet and Rodgers/North Lake played competitive games, too!

We would also like to thank the Lake Shore Foundation and Roy O’Brien Ford for sponsoring this event. In total, we raised over $3,200 at the game and $1,000 in concessions to support our educational needs of Lake Shore's youth.

Army Promotes Performance Triad

Army recruiters visit Lake Shore to promote the Army Performance Triad of physical fitness, sleep, and nutrition. The fitness course pushes students to participate using TRX strap stations, battle rope stations, push up/sit up challenges, a speed agility course, and a weight pull sled and dog sled push.

Saving Lives, One Donation at a Time

National Honor Society students held their second blood drive. Red Cross staff checked temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and hemoglobin levels prior to the actual 8-10 minute donation. Please enjoy the feeling of accomplishment knowing that you, as a donor, have helped save lives.
